CVHS WINTERGUARD took 3rd place in their division at the WGAZ STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS at Mesquite High School this past Saturday, March 29th! We're VERY proud of our awesome Coyote Winterguard!!

COYOTE TOUR BAND is back from a very successful Spring tour to California!

From our experience at Monrovia High School (including an unexpected lockdown!), to our performance at California Adventure, and then our Soundtrack Session clinic, followed by several hours of fun at the parks, this was the best tour yet! Great job, Coyotes! We wish our choir and orchestra well as they also are in California through tomorrow - and the orchestra even has the same bus driver!

If you have pictures from our trip that you want to share on the website, please bring them in to Mr. Huffman on a flash drive this coming week when we return to school!

Campo Verde Coyote Tour Band and the Monrovia High School Band - 87 total musicians - under the baton of Monrovia director Mr. Daniel Magellanes, warming up together before our performance of the First Suite in Eb by Gustav Holst. Below is the performance, under the direction of Mr. Huffman (he won Rock, Paper, Scissors with Mr. Magellanges, so he got to direct the actual performance!)

Congratulations to JUSTIN KANG, who was selected to be part of the All-State Orchestra this year! The rehearsals and performance will be on April 10-12, 2014 at Arizona State University. Be sure to give kudos to Bradyn Owens and Zach Lythgoe, who also pushed through the audition process - though they were not selected this year, their hard work should be recognized!

REMINDER! Music Mentors will resume on Tuesday, March 18th, upon our return from Spring Break!

The CVHS Symphonic Band will be featured on KOOL-FM 94.5's "NOON SALUTE" during the week of March 24-28! Be sure to tune in right before noon each weekday that week to hear our performance of the Star-Spangled Banner in honor of our nation's military!

IT'S OFFICIAL!! Next year's Marching Band show theme is:

MADNESS!! Featuring the music of Gary Jules (Mad World), Muse (Supremacy and Madness) and Johann Sebastian Bach!

We can't wait to get started! Join the Marching Band to be part of the most exciting Campo Verde marching show yet!
